REK

First formed in the early 2000's from the weekly jam session at the sleepyhouse in the Haight/Ashbury District of San Francisco, REK combined garage band energy with psychedelic guitar rock. Founding members Rich Ciccotelli (guitars and vocals), Eric Kermode (bass), and Keith Sevigny (drums), recorded their self-titled debut and independently released the CD in 2003.

By 2005, REK had found their sound, replacing Keith on drums with Mark Grupe, and focusing  mostly on instrumental jams. Backed by Eric's bass grooves and Mark's drums, the tight grooves provided lots of space for Rich's guitar to flow and weave. Eventually the band added Russ Blaine on trumpet and keys to the mix, providing an extra layers of fun to their live shows.

The solo project of Rich Ciccotelli, with collaborator Erik Kermode, the Salem Chamber creates a world through the use of drum machines, guitar loops, bass, keys, and anything else that was in arm's reach. Long form instrumental landscapes take you on a journey deep into the Salem Chamber.

SleepyHouse

The solo moniker for Rich Ciccotelli, the Sleepyhouse Music founder.  Ranging from solo and mostly acoustic releases, The Tape Roller's Journal (2001), and TightRope (2002), to mixing pop-punk and garage rock sensebilities, Zuckerman (2000), a layered guitar attack with lyrics that revolve around a fictional character named Zuckerman. All releases were recorded at The Sleepyhouse in San Francisco, with help from regular collaborators Casey Seyb (bass), John Barrios (guitar), and Mike L. (drums).

Tantrum

The heavy thrash metal band from Peekskill, New York, made a big splash locally in the 1980's, opening for national metal acts such as Overkill and Toxic. Childhood friends Paul Clements (drums), Joe Clements (bass), Rob Harrison (gutairs), and Rich Ciccotelli (guitars) started making music together at age twelve, developing the sound into power thrash metal. By 1990 the band added singer Peter Brown as frontman and they continued to play live shows around the tri-state area for the next several years.
